Foal  Trimming

Foal feet change dramatically in the first few months.  If they wear abnormally you will get bone development which will not be able to be corrected later in life.  Some leg deviations can be corrected by trimming and fitting appliances to the feet such as extensions.   Deviations in the first phalanx need to be addressed before eight weeks of age (preferably sooner), and will be set by twelve weeks of age

A six month old Arab which has been handled but not had its feet trimmed before.
